hey all,
i'm trying to get the dts ac3 file out of the vobs but dvd2avi and vob2audio only put out the 2 speaker ac3 file. i see it in the stream processing tab in smartripper and dvd decrypter but that's it. is there any way i can do this, maybe a different program?
thanks

Well, I am sure a simple search could have found this one, you will need dvd2avi 1.77.3 to demux the dts, it is available here, http://arbor.ee.ntu.edu.tw/%7Ejackei/dvd2avi/ I think you still need 1.76 for processing the video though. Do a quick search though to be sure.

DVD Decrypter can rip the stream without the need of DVD2AVI, and sometimes SmartRipper (depending on how the disc is authored). But DVD2AVI 1.77.3 will also do it for you and place the ms delay conveniently in the filename for you.

DTS IS NOT AC3. You can demux DTS track with DVD decrypter with stream processing, but the file will be useless for now. Currently there is no software for decoding or transcoding DTS. Maybe in near future... it is in develop phase. Maybe you can listen to it on PowerDVD or WinDVD.

If you can't make it over 920 MB, then the movie is very well compressible, it will look perfect on 1 CD. Don't worry about that. By the way, which movie is this? I know some movies that compresses that well: The Matrix, The Sixth Sense, Alien, Heat.
