I've been converting an avi file into SVCD. The file "Encoded_audio_1.mp2.wav" contains audio but "Encoded_audio_1.mp2." does not.

Here's the BeSweet log:

BeSweet v1.5b15 by DSPguru.
--------------------------
Using Shibatch.dll v0.24 by Naoki Shibata & DSPguru (shibatch.sourceforge.net).
Using MP2enc.dll v1.129 (23/5/2002), Engine 1.129 <http://www.cdex.n3.net>.

I'm using DVD2SVCD 1.1.2 build 1 on Windows XP Pro. The OS runs on a 1.4Ghz AMD w/512MB DDR-RAM PC2100 on an Asus motherboard.

Any help from audio wizzards or others that can spot and help me correct the problem is much appreciated.

You should probably try posting the question in the audio forum, they have a lot of people over there with lots of good information for you :)
