I have 3 standalone players, and up til now, I have tried a mixture of DVD-R and DVD+R discs. On my Goodmans GDVD131, about 50% of bruned films will play, on the Goodmans GDVD134 its down to about 25% and on my Acoustic Solutions DVD421 it's about 10% :(

I'm only assuming that it's down to the recording software (all of the DVDs play fine in my PC), so my question is:-

What software gives the BEST results for playing back home burned DVDs on Standalone players???

create an .img of your video_ts folder and burn with primodvd for best results.

Another option is to burn VIDEO_TS folder with PrimoDVD without creating .img file.

Also an FYI, I heard that Recordnow Max has taken over Prassi Primo. So the lates version 4.5 or Recordnow DX 4.6 will be excellent programs that offer compatibility. I switched form Nero to Recordnow Max 4.5 Good luck

p.s. do a search for recordnow to get more info

I've only used Prassi PrimoDVD and it works great. I stayed away from the whole Nero debate.

OK, I have downloaded and tried RecordNOW Max (which I believe used to be called PrimoDVD), and it worked first time.

Thanks. :D
