I have a avi that I am trying to convert to SVCD. I can convert everything correctly except the audio. The problem is that the audio contained in the avi is 22.1 Khz. When the extracted audio file is processed by BeSweet (using AVI2DVD) it makes a file that doesnt have any data (ie it makes a file called encoded_audio_1.mp2, but the file size is 0 k).
What I tried to do is convert the original extracted wav file to 44.1 Khz. When I did this the audio played too fast. So I ran the file through Cool Edit and tried to time stretch the audio out to be the correct length but when I did that there was a lot of poping and scratching in the audio.
I was wondering if there was some way that I could convert the original wav file to 44.1 Khz and then stretch it or modify it to be the correct length. If I can do that then I would be able to finsh the conversion with no problems.
If you would like to see the original thread on this its here: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48440
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for the help
