I have been using PowerDVD to play movies from my hard drive for about a year with no problems. Now, about a minute into the movie the video starts to do a “frame by frame” slow down thing. It's like my system is multi-tasking or the video info is not refreshing quick enough. The sound is fine, but the video looks like its on strobe-light effect.
Other programs that use the hard drive and CPU don’t seem to be affected. Like when I burn a movie at x2 speed, no problem or when I play Unreal at high resolutions, there are no hangs or freezes.
I have tried defragging. I have installed a few programs lately; maybe one of these changed something. Anyone know the answer?
