View Full Version : Setting UDF in Nero?

I mostly just burn data DVD's with my Xvid AVI's on them. No authoring.

Previously I was using a Pioneer A03 with Prassi Primo-DVD but I just got a new Cendyne DVR-105. It came with free Nero software but the Prassi no longer seems to work. And while the Nero Express seems to burn data DVD's just fine it also seems to be ISO only mode which won't let me put a 3 GB AVI file on the disk.

How do I tell Nero to use UDF format for a data disk? That is supposed to allow that. Or how else (under Win/Me) do I manage to write a 3 GB file to a DVD?

Is it just some limitation of the free included Nero version? If so, anybody know if I can get my old Prassi software to work on the Cendyne drive. I liked that one better.

Answers to any (not all) of the above would probably get me going again.

I am using Prassi PrimoDVD with Cendyne DVR-105. Installed PrimoDVD 2.0.829 and updated pxengine. Have no problems burning. Updating software may help in your case.

Yeah, thanks. I think Nero installs low level drivers that may have overridden Prassi's. So I'll try removing Nero, reinstalling Prassi, and then play the update game.

As a follow up, I uninstalled Nero and downloaded the newer Prassi px engine from the veritas site. Everything's fine now using my DVR-105 and Primo DVD.
