i've made a few dvds using DVD2SVCD. Using the default settings, the movies usually start up at the main movie. I am now looking into I-author so i can make selectable menus. My question is where do all the "extra" features (ie: deleted scenes, extra scenes, etc.) found on dvds go when I rip them using DVD2SVCD?
I have found that some of the voice over extras like director narration are just seperate audio streams. where though are the "other" video options? For example one DVD I have offers a mini-movie by the director. After ripping and converting to SVCD, I can't find or can't access this mini-movie. Are these "extras" included in the DVD2SVCD rip and all I need is to create a menu to access them? or does DVD2SVCD not rip the extra features, ripping only the main movie?
If the extras are included, my thinking is that I should grab a screen shot of the original DVD menu, and then use that as the main menu in I-author and instead of clicking on the choices, assign them a number to select. Would this work?
If extras are not included, how do you rip them?
thanks
