Hi Everyone,

I don't know if I should be using this program for this movie. Because this is my first movie with 2 versions of the movie (theatrical and special edition). It's independence day. Its got 2 pgc's in VTS 1 and the total time in each pgc is about the same (more than 2 hrs).

PGC_1 (program chain): [Title(TTN): 1] [02:27:16.11 / 25 fps] (Programs: 57) (Cells: 79) (uses VOB-IDs: 1,2,3,5,6,7,9,10,11,13,14,16,17,19,20,22,23,24,26,27,28,29,31,32,33,35,36,37,39)
PGC_2 (program chain): [Title(TTN): 2] [02:18:52.02 / 25 fps] (Programs: 54) (Cells: 76) (uses VOB-IDs: 1,2,4,5,6,8,9,10,12,13,15,16,18,19,21,22,23,25,26,27,28,30,31,32,34,35,36,38,39)

So in this situation can I use Doitfast4u or do I have to follow another method? I tried running Doitfast4u in Vod ID mode and it gives me the error:-----------

Cannot rename file
D:\Folder\filename**********************.AC3
to
D:\Folder\filename**********************Delay -111ms.AC3

Reason: Cannot create a file when that file already exists.

I didnt create any file with this name before because DoitFast4U is doing everything.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

You've got the right idea, unfortunately the problem is with DVD Decrypter trying to demux a vobid that is split in the .vob. The author has since fixed it and his new version will not have this problem, however, until then, there's nothing we can do about it!

Eyes`Only Thanks for your reply,

So i can't use this method (DoitFast4U) to do a backup? Can i just extract it without VobID extraction or is there another guide to do this kind of movie.

Thanks.

Well you are correct in your methods, vobid is the way to demux this. And when the new version of DVD Decrypter comes out, it will be possible, but right now it isnt very easy to do this.

There's another method that will work.

The other thing you could do would be to demux both pgcs by pgc. Place them both into scenarist. Add cells (not just chapters) for each. Then in you scenario, piece it together cell by cell using the same method found at http://dvdguides.trilight.net/flowchartguide/uberintro.htm in the insomnia notes section. Basically use all of PGC1, and just take the cells that aren't in PGC1 out of PGC2.

Hope that makes sense!
