Hi,

just got my Pioneer A05 burner (I love it :) ) and burned my first DVD-RW from an ISO I had created with Spruce DVDMaestro. I used DVDDecrypter to burn and everything went fine, plays beautifully on my standalone.

So I decided to burn to DVD-R (Pioneer 2x media) and thought maybe I can try Nero 5.5.10.15 because we are just burning an image so potential Nero Video-DVD compatibility issues shouldn't matter. OK, File - Burn Image, click OK. At this time I get a warning saying that I'm about to burn a multisession DVD and that such media may not be readable in standalone players and operating systems earlier than XP. I have the option to burn multisession anyway, burn single session and a checkbox to "Never show this message again".

What's is going on here? Nero bug? I opted for single session and of course it plays fine in my standalone.

Thanks.

Just always select No Multisession... it has been in there for a while. I think it happens if the ISO is over a certain size. Hope that helps... it's no biggie.

I saw that question too. Not having read ANYTHING about that issue anywhere, as remembering that VCD/SVCD showed up that way, I opted for doing the Multisession burn. Result played fine in my Pioneer 525 and Apex 1010W. Is it REALLY an issue? If so, which provides the greater compatibility?

A lot of dvd players won't accept open session DVDR's
