I looked in search for my answer and if I missed it I apologize in advance.
How do I make separate mpeg1’s? I want to rip with the internal ripper a music video dvd with 40 different songs/tracks. I also want to change my video bitrate to 2000 and I (can’t for the life of me) figure out how to do it. There are too many boxes on that page. I don’t care about file size. I just want the best mpeg1’s I can get, quality wise. I tried mpeg4’s and the quality was not there.
Thanks

If each song is a seperate chapter then you will need to rip each chapter to a different directory manually.
If you raise the mpeg-1 bitrate you will also have to manually adjust the Mux rate in BBmpeg or you will have problems. This is not a simple thing as it is a guessing game what the right mux rate is. Do a search on mux rate as I posted how to do this yesterday for a different problem.
If you can do mpeg-2 it would be much easier just doing it with this since you don't have to mess with BBmpeg at all.
If you need mpeg-1 and you have to have 2000 then just replace all the 1150 on the bottom of the bitrate tab.
I am sure you already loaded the vcd-settings.ini right since you are doing mpeg-1?

Thanks Mark. I will look into it when I get home. I would rather run mpeg2 however when I slide the video screen of the program I run over to my second monitor which is a TV, I get an error "due to limitations of your computer's display device, this video can only play back on one of your monitors. Please remove the video window completely onto that monitor". I even made the video window smaller so I know it is completely on the TV and get the same error. I am running a Matrox dual-head video card.
