Ok here's the info u need:
I'm a newbie using the IFO-Edit guide.
I used DVD-Decrypter and copied the main film of xXx NTSC plus the video_ts.ifo .vob and .bup files to the same directory.
I the loaded video_ts.ifo and vts_02_0.vob into ifoedit (0.94).
I ripped the languages I don't need to a new directory. Went to the new directory and loaded the above files again. This time I made them both region free and removed the RCE protection thing, furthermore I removed User option prohibs from both files. I then done the final sector adjustments.
Finally I burned it adding an audio_ts directory as well! I'm using nero and dvd-r and dvd+rw (for testing).
The burn was finished and I popped the disc into my Sony DVP-S735P.
At first it detected a DVD, when I pushed play it switched off my drive, this happened about 4 times until I got pissed off and took out the DVD. Back to the drawing board. Region free/RCE again, user prohibs again, final sectory adjustments again. Burned...
This time it started, oh joy, BUT the columbia screen with the statue at the beginning is all fuzzy, it got to the first menu screen, lots of animations, as soon as the animations were over, I was expecting the screen with "play movie" and so on, WRONG! It just repeated the animations over and over and over....endless!
What the heck am I doing wrong?

Well over to Lilo & Stitch Pal.
Same as above, ripped main move and the otherifo, vts and ifo files. Once completed -> remove prohibs, make region free, get sectors and burn.
Great it started, chose the language (first screen it shows on the german version) ->english ->clicked it then the player crashes showing 35 on the LCD screen!
I don't know what is going on!?!?
I have burned/ripped discs before using the above scheme and the DID work.

Please help me I am going nuts.
I'll try to answer any questions as soon as I can. Gotta go to bed now, getting late. :(

When you buy a car, you should always test drive first. It's the same concept with burning your DVDs. Always test them by using IFOedit's DVD Play feature or with a software DVD player like PowerDVD or WinDVD. You can save yourself from making alot of expensive beer coasters. If you encounter any errors in your previewing, then obviously, you wouldn't want to burn it. I read your procedures and didn't see anything about previewing/testing your movie before burning.

I also noted that you rip only the main movie files. The way some DVD are authored, you may need other VTSs in order for your DVD's navigations to work properly. I suggest you rip all your files using File Mode if you are retaining your menus. With proper editing, you can do deletes on unwanted files. Always, make a habit to backup your original IFOs in another folder before editing.

If you're just doing "movie only", there are guides here in Doom9 and in the IFOedit forum on accomplishing this. Also you can look into Doom9's guides on analyzing your DVD on which files you need.
