I was wondering if there was any way in DVD2SVCD to make the end result images of equal size(or very close to), or to even force them to be a certain size. This way they use up equal amounts on the cds.

What I am wanting to do is my images seen to be coming out in wierd sizes. Like for a 120min movie, I get 1 image at 806mb, then the 2 at 300mb or so on. It is the whole movie, and great quality as they have always been. The image sizes used to come out more even, but for some reason not any more.

I have just reformatted my OS drive, reinstalled everything back on with all the default options. I tried redoing the few that have given me problems with the same end result, and even tried redoing a few that haven't.

So could someone help me out, or even point me in the right direction on how this can be done?

Ok, I think I may have answered my own question after re-reading my post. I went back and triple checked my settings, and I overlooked the Rate Control Mode and the TMPG encoder and changed it to 2pass variable bitrate(VBR) and am going to try that.

That should fix it if I remember correctly, because that option should set predited file sizes, as the guide even says.

There is no way to assure that all discs will be filled. There are too many factors to make this always happen.
The video length, the audio and video bitrates, the bitrate limitors, etc...
Most times you can make it close, but not always. If your movie just isn't long enough to fit on the number of discs you ask for within the limits you give it there is nothing that can be done. With practice you can fill the discs better and if your DVD player supports out of spec SVCD's then it becomes even easier still.
My suggestion is to read up on bitrates and such to get an idea of they effect file size. The more you know the easier it is to understand what DVD2SVCD does and how changes you make can effect the outcome.
