Price of Ritek Media Rising?

Has anyone else noticed that the price of Ritek 2x DVD-R seems
to be rising?

I bought my first spindle of 100 for $80.
Next spindle of 100 for $90.
Just had to buy third spindle, best price I could find: $110.00!

Anyone know if Ritek is really having trouble keeping up with demand?

Also: I have Sony DRU500A. Having good luck with Ritek, anyone have another brand that works well with the drive?

Yip, they sure have been rising. I presume some of the cost increase of the 1x ritek g03 discs is because ritek are investing more machine/production hours producing 4x discs hence the 1x disc output is lowered, and since demand stays constant the price goes up a notch.

I read that the price of the plastics is going up and that we will see an increase in all media prices:(

Rima still has them for about a buck a piece... maybe 1.15 each for 25 pack.

About got a week ago got a 100pack of 4X riteks for $170 from rima.com Just ordered another one for $175 just in case it skyrockets.

That is rather depressing...but for the money, Ritek's are still the best value. I'm still enjoying my 100 pack that I got for $79...but i'm going to be really bummed when I have to restock these at $110 instead...sheesh!!

Just noticed all the Ritek G03's are Rima.com are out of stock!!! wow
no wonder the price has gone up. Word has gotten out that Ritek is superior to all the other generics, so everyone is buying them up.
