I ripped a non-encrypted DVD with DVD Decrypter (I checked, the VOBs on my HD are correct, as they play back with any player), but DVD2One and InstantCopy refuse the vobs and tell me they can't work with encrypted files. D'oh. Now what can I do? I don't want to fail with this disk

what DVD is it, and are you sure it has no encryption?

which way did you rip it? and with what?

The DVD is "Wahnsinnig verliebt" (A la folie... pas du tout).

I ripped it with smartripper, DVD Decrypter, and vstrip. vstrip refuses to rip. The other ones rip it, and i can play it back from harddisk. DVD Decrypter says it is not protected.

I'm quite sure it is not protected as i can play it back from harddisk too with VideoLan Client.

I still have no clue what to do.

I was expecting some pron title :)

which method of rip setting are you using with DVDDecrypter?

as you can either choose CCS to be present or tick for none under CSS tab

:D no pr0n today...

i was using the standard settings as well as "force CSS Present" checked and pushing the sliders on the right in the css tab to the max. No effect. Though that didn't surprise as I'm quite sure it really is not encrypted. Even DVD2AVI plays back from harddisk fine.

Btw, when i force CSS present, i get this error:
--
SCSI Status: 0x02

Brute Force failed because there were no vulnerable blocks.

LIGHTNING UK!, Author of DVD Decrypter told me in the ripping forum this was a bug of dvd2one (that it doesn't accept the files).

Btw, at the moment I'm encoding with tmpgenc but this takes loooong and I am not sure whether the outcome can be burned on a DVD or not.

what about the NONE setting?

if there's none surely you would set it to none

I dunno as I've never come across this problem, so I can only suggest what I would try

as for sliders I never touch them

cheers

p.s. have you tried ripping it with Smartripper?

same error with the 'none' setting and smartripper...
currently I wait for TMPGEnc to finish. I hope I can burn the outcome on a DVD and that it will work in my standalone.
