Can anybody tell me if it is possible to frameserve from VirtualDub to CCE.
I have it working with TMPGEnc but untill now I can't get it working with CCE.
Maybe this will help you:

I would like to frame serve from VirtualDub.
But I can't load the "whatever.vdr" file into VFAPIConvert.exe, it only takes .d2v and .tpr extensions.
Also when I change the extension of the "whatever.vdr" file into "whatever.d2v" will not work. I get an message box with "???? <file location and name> ?????."
Am I missing something???
And when I frame serve to CCE can I multi-pass encode the movie?
Did you install everything properly like described in the mentioned threads?
And yes, you can do multiple passes by frame serving (not only in CCE).

I am pretty certain you did not get the readavs installed properly. Let us know if you installed it and what you did. You may have to run regedit, search for readavs and check to make sure the path is correct. If not, just edit the path in regedit. It is no biggy.
I don't know why you might have thought you could change the vdr file to a d2v file. That is a no starter.

Frameserving from vdub saved frameserv as AVI instead of VDR works for me. Back then I didnt have avisynth installed, only vfapi.
