DivX with video problems !!!!

hi guys. I'm trying to watch the 8 mile divx, but 4 or 5 times in the film the video stop(lock) and the sound and the subtitle run ok.

I tried to fix with DivXfix but the program told me that the file is protected.

i was thinking in open the avi file with nandub and make a new avi.

what you think about guys ? Is it a good idea ?

May be you have "smooth playback" enabled in your decoder configuration?

I presume the subtitle is on a separate file right?
