Well I tried the latest umaniac(feb-21), Nic(feb-16) and Koepi(feb-17) builds.

Here are the settings:
---------------------------
2pass
motion search precision=ultra high
quantization type=h.263
fourCC=Xvid
VHQ mode=off
enabled luma masking=on
other settings are default

I'm also using avisynth2.5.
------------------------------
With Nic's build, I can run 1st pass with the above-stated settings.

With umaniac and Koepi builds, vdubmod suddenly exits.

With umaniac build, I can run 1st pass but only if I change quantization type to modulated.

With Koepi build, even if I change the quantization type to modulated, vdubmod suddenly exits.

Disabling luma masking for all the build enables myself to run 1st pass.

any ideas?

thanks

Hi Jayel-

Some of the newer builds don't support SSE2 yet. You have to go to the Debug Tab, tick Force Optimizations, and then uncheck SSE2.

ah Thanks Tom. :)

Well I'm using Nic's build for now. Initial impressions with xvid is much better when I last tried it (Dec 02 build). Coupled with Avisynth2.5, the combo is a joy to use (much faster). :)

Thanks again.
