Installed Gordian Knot v0.27 and got problems with getting audio into my final DivX5 clip. Using the guide DVD to DIVX5. Gordian says it's trouble with encoding and sets the soundfile to 0kb. It worked in the previous version of Gordian Knot! Help me!

Edited By manono: Don't try something like that again, Tsui.

@Tsui

#11) If you have nothing to say on a certain matter then don't post. (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm) And calling someone names isn't going to make you popular here either.

@Tsunami

:logfile: By your description almost anything could be wrong. We do need more info in order to help you.

Hi and welcome to the forum (ignore Tsui's rude outburst),

I can't tell what happened just from your description. Do you have the log file that you can post so that we can try and see what went wrong? Were you working with an AC3 audio file?

1. Ripped DVD with SmartRipper. Done all of this many times before and it has been no problems.
2. DVD2AVI. Audio-Dolby Digital-Demux. Audio-MPEG Audio-Demux
3. DVD2AVI. Save project
4. Gordian Knot. Open project.
5. Gordian Knot. Change some settings (resoultion, bitrate etc.)
6. Gordian Knot. Save and encode. Chosing the MPA audiofile I projected with DVD2AVI.
7. Audio encoded first and the log says:
Audio1 Calc: 1250kB
Audio1 determined: 0kB
Error Will not recalcultae bitrate. Maybe you can audio later.
Mp3 filesize is zero. Transcoding failed.

The standalone audiofile plays fine in a player. The encoded videofile gets finished but teh audio isn't added.

Running DivX 5.03 and Gordian Knot 0.27.

I was under the impression GKnot does not support DivX 5.03 yet?
Correct?

Gknot does not support MPEG-1 Layer II audio (.mp2 or .mpa files) directly. You can use the BeSweetGUI to convert from .mpa to .mp3, then "just mux" the file in Gknot.
