Problems encoding in Xvid using VirtualDub

I've already encoded in the past in Divx 5 using VirtualDub and following Domm9's guides. I am trying the same with Xvid, I've followed the whole guide and at the end, when I press start, all it says is Error and it won't encode. I've never had this problem in the past. Can anyone help me?
