OK, I wrote this post at the advanced authoring forum, but they told me to search this section of the forum, now I still can't find any answer to my problem. I have been trying to solve this problem for so long now that I HAVE to solve it, and no I dont want to "patch" the mpeg to fool the dvd players. Please help me!

I am trying to convert an svcd to dvd format.
I took the 29.97 FPS mpegs from the svcd's. Made an DVD2AVI project and got one .d2v and one .wav file. Made an avisynth script and encoded with CCE to dvd standard video (NTSC). Ran pulldown on the m2v I got from CCE and ended up with an movie file with a framerate at 29.97 (same as the original).
Now neither the sound (the wav file converted to ac3 with BeSweet) or the subtitles (.srt files joined and converted to .sst (bmp) files) is in sync when authored with scenarist.
Why? The framerate is the same on the original svcd and the m2v from CCE. I did choose frame drop for both video and sound in scenarist. Everything is in sync at the beginning but is getting more and more out of sync the longer the movie plays.
How do I get them in sync?
