View Full Version : How to extract this VTS?

I've been trying to do the film Undercover Brother and i've done sucessfully all of the extras using tmpgenc and scenarist/ifoupdate, but the main film is causing me problems. pgc 2-41 reference single cells from the main movie's vobid (a trivia game that shows the scene you got right) and ends with a blank cell (a one sec cell) to end the chain. so, i used doitfast4u to rip by cellid, and have spent a long and possibly useless amount of time reconstructing the layout using the cells in scenarist (using seamless between the cells in each chapter). However, when i try and compile, i get the following error message:

Info Creating DVD data (VTS Title) VTS#01
Info Preparing to multiplex track 1-t
Info Creating Multiplexer info
Info Multiplexing
Info Multiplexing VOB Main Stream
Error This VOB duration (687.5 frames) is not multiple number of frame.
Error dvd_mux : DoMux Multiplexing Error
Error Terminated Multiplexing (UCover Brother 1.scn-1-t_t.vob).
Error The VOB duration must be even number of fields.
Error Multiplex is failed.
Info Multiplexing failed, Track<1-t>

Error MuxFromDB:MuxVTS failed
Error Multiplex failed
Error DVD files could not be created

i used the following settings in tmpgenc for all of the cells:
23.976fps w/ 3:2 pulldown on playback, gop: i=1, P=4, b=2, output interval of sequence header=1, closed gop=on, detect scene change=on

i tried turning detect scene change off to see if it was causing problems with adding i frames and throwing things off, but i still get the same error. i'm including the ifo file to look at. would it be better if i ripped by pgc and re-encoded the main film and just made my own chapter points for pgc 2-41 (ie create a chapter that lasted for as long as the original cell at the same timecode as the original cell and then create a second chapter at the end of the film to mimic the blank cell and stop the chain?)

thanks in advance,

scott.

hi delirium,

Just to let you know I removed the link to your IFO since technically this is copyrighted as it was on your original DVD. Please don't take offence - I just want us to be safe rather than sorry. Rather than posting the IFO, please post IfoEdit screenshots of the portions you want us to look at or copy out the lines from IfoEdit directly into a post.

sorry about that, figured since the ifo file is non-descript, it wouldn't be bad, but i guess better safe than sorry. so, at your advice here are two pics of the ifo:

turns out i answered my own question. i ended up using scenchap and making each cell into a chapter, then compiling just one title, followed up by ifoupdate in the adjusted cell mode. now the dvd works like a charm.

Sweet! I was going to suggest the adjusted cell mode, but as you can see now that you've experienced it, it's kind of hard to explain to someone exactly how to do it!

Glad you got your title working successfully!
