View Full Version : IFOEDIT - Maybe a Bug?

I absolutely love this product, but I think I may have found a bug.

I have noticed that sometimes IFOEDIT (v .95) will miss one or two of my vobs when creating new IFO's and vobs to use to create an image. I have narrowed the problem down to the fact that IFOEDIT cannot handle some vob sequences. For example, I have 8 vob music videos I want to link and create new IFOs for. When I place the 8 files in a specific order, IFOEDIT says it read and wrote the 8 files, but the chapter list only shows 7. I then switched the order of the files, reran IFOEDIT, and voila, I get all 8 chapters. If I place the 8 vobs back into the original order, I get 7 again. Rebooting in between makes no difference. I have tried IFOEDIT v.88 as well and get the same results.

I have run into this problem and can regenerate the problem/condition consistently with several different sets of vobs. Usually IFOEDIT will only miss one of the vobs, but in some sets, it will be 2 vobs. Regardless, the situation is consistent and repeatable. At first, I thought it was a corrupted vob, so I re-ripped (DVDDecrypter) everything, but got EXACTLY the same vob file sizes and results.

Any IFOEDIT experts out there with a comment?
