Need help on DVD ripping

I used DVD decrypter, after obtaining the VOB files, used DVD2AVI to convert to D2V file, then tried using the TMPGenc to convert the MPG1 file. I then encounter this problem, I can't find the .wav or audio file to go with the D2V file for convertion. What did I do wrong? How do I get the .wav or audio file? When I tried opening the .AVI file, I get a pop up message that this is not supported. I tried opening the wav file for processing with the DVD2AVI but get a "support 16 bits 48/44.1 KHz stereo LPCM only!" messsage. Please help.
