I'm trying to keep the original menus and extras from the original X-Files episodic DVD's.

I'm not very tech-inclined, nor am I familiar with making menus/drawing images in Maestro---it'd be great to learn, but I'm really interested in maintaining original menus and extras and just 'simply' swap back in the re-authored vob's in place of the original vob's. I tried this couple of times, but was unsuccessful--all the chapter points/scenes were way off..

ChapterXtractor created a list for each episode and I imported each into Maestro to its respective episode, which I have placed on separate time/movie lines (e.g., Movie1 - Movie4). I created 4 Playlists (1 for each episode) and completed the command sequences according to the following guide:

http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/146371.php (thanks furbal)

The guide calls for me to 'draw' my menu/s and some other stuff, which I haven't a clue how to do.. so I tried compiling at this point, but Maestro will not allow (error: file too big or frames or something like that). Is there a way I can just compile now and move the new vob's into the original movie directory and update IFO's??

Can someone guide me thru the rest of the process in order to retain original menus, chapters/points, extras, etc.. ??

thanks.

p.s. Oh, I forgot, yes, I've used DVD2One--successful but the quality was pretty bad. That's why I'm trying this method, which utilizes CCE--one, if not the best, re-encoder, imo..
