View Full Version : Audio payload

I am using the latest build 1.1.2 b1, I normally use it in DVD "advanced" mode for DVDr Output, with a fake bbMpeg.cmd batch file to kill the Multiplexing. Here is the question, I switched from this MPeg2 DVD mode to - MPEG1 AVI input to convert a VHS over to MPEG1, then I switched back to DVD MPEG2 settings, So I check the "DONT CONVERT AUDIO" checkbox. Now when I run DVD2SVCD, in the LOG its running some BeSweet payload check, it takes a about 30 seconds to finish and makes a copy of my AC3 audio called "Encoded Audio.AC3"

Is this a bug or new to the latest build? Not that I mind, its only 30 seconds, but it does write another 200Mb audio file, that I dont need.

Thanks, VidHack.

This has been happening to me too, but all along. It has happened through a couple of versions. It doesn't hurt anything so I just ignored it. I was going to ask this very question, but since it's harmless, doesn't take very long and all you have to do is make sure you get the correct ac3 file when authoring. I agree the extra file is a little annoying.

In the future please be more specific with your title.

actually I will answer my own POST for you. After looking at the Logfile, I see what is happening. If the DVD has a Audio offset, such as -67ms or something, then BeSweet is applying the neccessary AC3 audio delay correction to the file (Cutting or adding frames). You dont have to run AC3 Audio Corrector anymore. It only happens on DVD titles that have a Audio/Video difference, many do not, so its not needed. Quite a nice additional feature, thanks DVD2SVCD.
