There are now a few ways to backup your precious DVD's

which one is your preferred method?

you can vote for more than just one if need be

wonder which will get the most votes?

remember this is not a quality issue, but a usage issue

have fun :D

I find most movies fit nicely on a DVD without having to use any of the programs. I will burn all the files or remove the menu and extras if the movie is too large. Those that are too large even with the extras removed get the DVD2one treatment. If the quality is lacking (in the original DVD), I split the movie and use two DVDs.

Works for me. :)

I have witnessed amazing leaps in DVD95Coy since I bought it last week. The author is responsive and supremely interested in perfecting the product. As you said in a prior post, MisterX, DVD95Copy has real potential. I think those who are using version 1.21 (purchase only) are beginning to see this. Unfortunately, those who are using the demo are still using version 1.1. Hopefully, this will be addressed in the near future.

The output is very good. The quality rivals IC but with a lot less time at the healm. There are some audio bugs to be rectified, but fortunately none affecting the movie, at least that I have seen or heard.

I use many of the programs on the survey and watch with great enthusiasm as the new guys' offerings evolve.

If you look at this forum, you'll see a LOT of problems being addressed with IC...I'm a big fan of simplicity, and DVD2ONE does what it says with excellent quality.

The real test will be when DVD2ONE comes out with full copy capability.

:D

do you expect DVD2One will be bug free when it does 1:1?

the majority of so called IC 'BUGS' are more related to the user and their setups, and some are even self inflicted as a few have been proven to be if you read through posts fully

people come to a forum the majority of times to post problems and DVD2One has no major working in what it does, so obviously it will have less problems. All it really does is resize as you could use Ifoedit to strip a single PGC from a movie whereas IC includes a lot more workings. I wonder how many problems IC would have if you gave it a movie only DVD with single PGC and a simple menu?

I feel the greatest 'BUG' issue with IC is the filesize problem as absolutely everyone suffers from this and no-one gets 4.37Gb everytime!

apart from that nothing much, unless you start stripping bits out of the DVD incorrectly, use the reg rack, or a few problematic DVD's

again the quality issue, but I'll pass on that :), (see sig)

the choice is yours to make and I was interested in the % of use but again the same old same old comes into it :)

I'm watching these programs closely to see how they develop, mainly for the sake of saving time, but for now I have Maestro and CCE so the best quality gets the nod ;).

I Mostly use DVD2one, but Instant Copy does do a decent job if you get around some of the glitches, using the F5 key you can mostly do away with the size issue. I would like to see pinnicle come out with a patch to fix this soon as "Both" retail copies the .80 and the .91 have these issues. There are times to use both IC and DVD2One
