View Full Version : Stream switching in OGM only works via menue

Hello, this is a problem that always bugged me. In ZPlayer there is a button where you can cycle Audio-Streams and another one for Subtitle-Streams. These buttons never worked for me. When I want to switch a stream, then I have to open the language menue and choose the stream "manually". In MPC there is a menue for audio streams and for subtitle streams, but none of them shows any entry (except for "enabled" or so). If I want to switch to a different stream in MPC, then I have to go to the filter menue, choose Ogg Splitter and then choose the stream. I don't suppose it's thay way for everybody, or these features would be useless and certainly not included. TCMP4 can switch these streams with F1 and F2, but ZPlayer has so many nice features, I don't want to loose them. So my question: has anybody else experienced such problems and solved it? I already reinstalled the Ogg DS Filters and installed the older version 0.9.9.3. Right now 0.9.9.5 is installed.
Best regards,
JimiK

Which version of zplayer?
I tried it with zplayer V2.90 and the key shortcut works perfectly (Ctrl+A).
You may want to try nwlNebula (http://closet.yoptek.org:2006/~nowol/progs.php) to verify that there is no errors with your current OGGDS, the default key in nwlNebula to cycle audio streams is N and SHIFT+N to cycle back (IIRC). You can also set a default language so it will automatically switch to that language when opening an OGM file.

That is also a nice player you programmed. Still the audio switching does not work. My ZPlayer version ist 3.0b5.5, but I tried also 2.90. I cannot imagine what could be wrong with my OggDS installation. Why does it work with TCMP4? Does it have an own Ogg parsing filter? After all tobias was also involved in this project.

Hi,
First of all, thank you on your opinion of my player.
To verify if TCMP4 has its own OGM parsing filter, you can check "Show tray icon", in the ogg splitter filter (ie: with zplayer). You can also try to demux and mux the file again. Also, do the "OggSplit" submenu works in nwlNebula?
(thanks)
I sent you a private message, please answer it.

edit :
After a quick download of TCMP4, it doesn't have its own OGM parser. (The supplied OGM filter did remove my OGM file association for some reasons.)
