I'm backing up a Disney PAL movie. There are a lot of annoying screens coming up, so I looked for the main menu screen. This is Title 6 and Chapter 1. So in VIDEO_TS.IFO\First Play PGC. I changed the first pre-command to go to that chapter, with root-menu. And that works. After that when I'm pressing on the play button, nothing happens. Can someonehelp me with that?

Have you tried jump to Title- 1?

The main screen is in title 1 in titleset 6. (VTS_06_x). That's where I changed it into. Then via the play option I have to go to Titleset 1, title 1, to go to the movie and that doesn't work.

I'm trying to understand your first post. You can successfully jump to your root menu to bypass any menu intros. But between your "Pressing" the play button and your movie, there are "miscellaneous clips" in-between that you want to bypass so that you go straight to your movie?

I may not be following you well, if I'm not sorry. One thing though, it's not necessarily the first precommand you need to change. The only precommand you need to change is in 000000f4. If the other precommands are messed up, you may need to start from scratch and redo it.

Click VMGM_MAT toward the top.

Then press the + next to it and highlight FIRST PLAY PGC.

Scroll to 000000f4 and right click and edit command.

Press Jump_TS and type TITLESET number in the box beneath it (usually 1)

Press SAVE and close IFOEDIT

I did what Josh says. However when pressing the play button in the menu the dvd stops playing. There are no miscellanious clips between that. A disney dvd starts with a 'Select language' screen, then the previews and then the menu, where you can select the audio type, the movie etc...After pressing the language screen it jumps successfully to the main menu, but when I press play, nothing happens. I was so close in making a full copy :(

There are some instances that jumping to root menu in some DVDs might not work as you may have bypassed some GPreg values or commands that is needed for navigation and audio/subtitle setups. What I would do if you jump to menu doesn't work for you right now is to revert back to your original First Play PGC commands. From there, let's concentrate on getting rid of your previews using another method. You mention there are previews between your language screen and your menu. Look into this small guide to help you bypass those previews. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=43611

I know you will bypass some commands along the way but maybe it'll work this time.

Ok, but where is the VMG Overview/Menu Language Unit? I'm using IfoEdit 0.95. I can't find it (maybe the data but it isn't the name.

Click on VIDEO_TS.IFO. Immediately, look at the top of your bottom section. Do you see VMG Overview:? If you do the same with a VTS_*_0.IFO, you'll see VTS Overview.
