Hey all. I am playing around with InstantCopy in Custom Mode at the moment, and I am confused about something. On the Video Tab, under "Cell Set" there is "Video Data Size" and then "Transcoded Size". For each it lists a number, then another number inside a set of parentaesis. Anyone know what each number means? Here is an example:

Video Data Size: 5.00 GB (6.50 GB)
Transcoded Size: 2.00 GB (3.50 GB)

Those are just fake numbers, but you get the idea. What does each stand for, I assume the () number is the REAL number, so what's the other?

Thanks.

the number outside the brackets is the video size of the original and transcoded and the figure in the brackets is both the video size plus the audio/subs

so you have 1.5GB of audio/subs selected, but if you deselected say 0.8Gb of audio you would then see

Video Data Size: 5.00 GB (6.50 GB)
Transcoded Size: 2.00 GB (2.70 GB)

so trying to transcode 5Gb into 2Gb is a setting of 40%, so nobody will be impressed with the results. 60% is the minimum I would use so you sould see this

Video Data Size: 5.00 GB (6.50 GB)
Transcoded Size: 3.00 GB (3.70 GB)

It looks like you are keeping a lot of audio/subs and also a lot of extras for the settings to be that low, so no doubt it will suffer, but so will every other program you use by allowing only that much video space :)

hope you understand they are not fake now

cheers
