I split XXX onto two discs. Disc one has the movie and disc two has the trailers and extras. I disabled the other three buttons on the main menu but can't figure out how to disable the play button.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill

I'm at work right now so bear with me as I visualize the procedure.
First, backup your IFOs in case something goes wrong with your edit.
If your movie IFO is assumed VTS_01_0.IFO, then go to VTS_01_0.IFO/VTS_PGCITI/PGC Command Table. Edit you first pre-command as follows.
NEW > 1.Pre Command (JumpSS VTSM) Jump to TitleSet(vts): 1, Title(ttn): 1, root-menu [30 06 00 01 01 83 00 00 ]
Save your IFO and preview to test. I hope that works for you.

UPDATE: Okay, just got home and tested my method on Spy Kids 2. Didn't work but what I did to fix my problem should be the same.
I'm assuming your movie is Title 1.
In one of your PGC-Menus in VIDEO_TS.IFO/VMGM_PGCI_UT, you should have a pre-command just like the following.
Pre Command (JumpTT) Jump to Title: 1 [30 02 00 00 00 01 00 00 ]
You need to edit that to
(JumpSS VTSM) Jump to TitleSet(vts): 1, Title(ttn): 1, root-menu [30 06 00 01 01 83 00 00 ]
if your movie is titleset 1.

2COOL, thanks for your help. I tried your recommendation. In menu 2 there is a jump to title 1 precommand. I changed that to jump to the root menu. It works fine for the play button. But it affected the entire menu system so that no matter what menu you where on, if you watched a video or deleted scene, you where returned to the main menu and not the extra or video menu you where originaly on.
I then changed the jump command in menu 2 back to how it was originally. I then changed the jump to title 1 precommand in menu 4 to jump to title menu. This didn't cause the problem it did in menu 2, but now some features don't work.
I tried menu edit and it did delete the buttons. Unfortunately it deformed the marker that goes next to the button that you are on. Normally there are two wiggly lines on each side of a highlighted button. After menu edit there is a deformed wiggly line to the left of the button. It looks bad and it is hard to tell at first which button is highlighted.
Unless you have another recommendation I think I'll leave the play button alone. I'm just worried that on some stand alone players when it goes to look for title one and it's not there the player will lock up.
Any ideas?
Bill

baddbill,
I must've been sleeping at work when I read your first post. You were referring to your second disk. Since you have all your extras on one disk, you wanted to have your play button disabled. I see now.
What my first reply in this thread should've been was for you to check out my guide on doing this. I wrote it about a month ago for another member. It worked for him so it should work for you this time.

Thanks 2COOL, I didn't think about just bypassing the main menu. Great idea!
Thanks,
