Okay, now I know there are free/cheap ways to get SVCD to DVD but for those who are too lazy or too confused or already have this option due to analogue recording, then read on.

I purchased a Snazzi DVD USB2 box which is basically speaking a box that has a SVideo input and records data in real time in DVD quality. I have my DVD player connected via this box, and if you play SVCDs via your DVD player then record it via the box straight to DVD format in real time. Then when you have all 2 or 3 CDs recorded then just join them together using joiner software. You can buy real time MPEG2 boxes for around $150. Good thing being they also record VHS videos to DVD and also DVD to DVD all in real time. I have done many SVCD-DVDs this way, not only is it real easy it is all done in real time speed. Quality is great too, perfect in fact. This also means you don't have to buy any encoders as the unit comes with a encoder and software. There are loads of different encoder boxes out there, from various makes, some cheaper then others.

Just a tip for some people out there :)
