Hi,

I have the contents of Blackadder III on my HDD.

there are six episodes on the one DVD and in seperate vobs, ie: vts_02_0.vobetc, is episode 1, vts_03_0.vob, etc is episode 2, all the way to vts_07_0.vob for the last episode.

I would like to put 3 episodes on 1 DVD (so I will have 2 DVDs in the end), but I do not want to reincode the files so I can import them into DVD maestro to remake the vobs (the only way I know how to do it)

Is there a way or a program that will allow me to rename the vobs and recreate the menu (video_TS files),(using my own backgrounds, options, etc) without the need for me to re-encode the files.

so in the end I will have 1 DVD with ONLY episode 1-3 on it (with the renamed vobs, ie: originally episode 1 is VTS_02_0, etc, but on new DVD it will be VTS_01_0), and the other with 4-6.

I have read the guide on splitting a DVD9 to 2 DVDs, but it details the steps on a DVD film that runs the whole DVD, in my case there are 6 seperate files that take up the space.

---------------I got an Idea

Could I make a faux DVD in DVD Maestro with my menus that I created, and using fake files to create my required VTS_01, 02, etc structure, compile it then copy over the top of the fake VTS files, etc with the blackadder ones? That way the video_vts file will have the links to the correct vts_01, etc files?

You could use VOBEdit to demux all the separate episodes and reauthor with your own menus like you said.
