DivX / XVID - VCD conversion

Ive read both guides on this site for converting DivX / XviD - VCD. I used VirtualDub to extract both the video and the audio from the movie, and then I loaded that into TMPGenc, loaded the template settings, and hit Start. But, it either doesn't go anywhere and the program crashes, or I get a Kernel32.dll error. I've reinstalled the program 50 times, and it's still not working. I've also tried the DVD2SVCD guide, and it works fine up until the encoding part, where again, it crashes.

Any suggestions?

Could be many things with the level of information you have provided there is no way to tell what it is.

Have you successfully done DVD conversions?
Have you been able to convert any file without a crash?
What version are you using?

Have you tried running the Prime95 torture test on your system to eliminate possibile hardware issues from the mix?

Post your DVD2SVCD_log.txt file using cut and paste.
