View Full Version : Forum Rename?
No big deal but maybe this forum sould be called "DVD Transcoding" instead of what it is due to the influx of transcoding utilities in addition to those two listed?

We (moderators) didn't pick the name, the boss (Doom9) did.
Some others call it "one click", a name that I hope does not become official.

Most of th posts now center around Instant Copy and its many challenges (Or for MrX the user errors). There is little new info on DVD2One probably because it does a simpler task - fairly well. I am still toying with both.
I have a question. If you did a movie like Minority Report (7G+) in Both IC(exclude reghack title strip) and DVD2One - which would look better? Doesn't DVD2One dedicate all the disk to film. By the way DVD2One did a fairly nice Minority backup for me. Looked decent on a Sony 32-inch. I have been fighting IC on that film.

Yeah to my knowledge DVD2ONE dedicates the entire disk to the movie (or whatever PGC you slect), pretty spot on to, my file last night came out at 4.37GB. I don't think the problem is with space, it's with the speed of which it's encoded. 90 minutes for start to stop with The Shawshank Redemption (7.7GB) has gotta mean that it's only doing a fairly basic single pass encode doesn't it? My end results with both programs had image artifacts popping up several times in the movie which could easily be seen.
