Hi all.
/UPDATE/ I guess I should have tried this before, but it looks like my audio is what is causing problems. I tried a test disc with just video and it played great. I guess I'm off to read about AC3 using BeSweet. Anyone have any quicker ideas? Is 224 kb/s OK to use for stereo? Anyone know what I might have done wrong? /UPDATE/
I'm having troubles trying to put multiple MPGs that were created using DVD2SVCD back in the day onto DVD. I use DVD2AVI/CinemaCraft and I believe I get all the settings right, but after I author with Scenarist it won't play on my DVD player. It starts, plays for 1 to 2 seconds, then freezes. I have had a couple of tests that I was able to get going for a good ten seconds if I hit fast forward, but they would freeze again. I am assuming that it is out of DVD spec for some reason, but can't figure out how. Scenarist accepts the MPG files just fine after reencoding.
Here are my steps:
1.) Process with DVD2AVI. All are progressive w/pulldown. When processed they flicker constantly between progressive/interlaced but it stays at FILM.
2.) Load AVS into CCE 2.5 and change the following settings...
Video
1. Check DVD Compliant
2. Check Zigzag
3. Check Progressive frames
GOP
1. Change N/M from 5 to 4
3.) Run Pulldown on the output MPV from CCE.
4.) Use BeSweet to convert 48KHz 224 Kb/s MP2 to 2 channel AC3 @ 224Kb/s.
5.) Add to Scenarist and create an image.
The resulting image plays fine in WMP, perfect sync A/V. Just freezes on standalone.
If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
