i did about 6 movies with dvd2svcd and put them on one cd according to settings with choosing 1 cd and adjustment with the minutes so it would fi on 1 cd, well all went well with format to 1 cd, now i just realize that it did not put the whole movie on 1 cd it cut it off short. so did i do somthing wrong with the settings help most of the movies are just a little over 90 min, any bigger i go 2 cd's

i use dvdsvcd setting the only thing i changed was the min and number of cd to 1, for some reason i can't get a 90min to 100min onto 1 cd

like ldsr said, post your logfile. how can we help you if we don't know what settings you used?

That is not your logfile. Post the DVD2SVCD_log.txt file using cut and paste, Do not attach it.

Also Rule 9 states you need to use a title that fits the problem. This is not the case here. Please edit your title to be more appropriate.

how do i go about that, just before it finishes the program cut and paste the log file onto post reply

1.) Search your hard disk for DVD2SVCD_LOG.TXT
2.) Open it
3.) Edit->Select All
4.) Edit->Copy
5.) Edit your post or post reply.
6.) Right click->Paste.
7.) Voila. DVD2SVCD log posted.

do this and you never loose the log !
i use differents folders to differents encode.
than i ever save the log and the dvd2svcd.ini
in another folder for future references.

example:
film: matrix
after encode i rename:
dvd2svcdmatrix.ini and
dvd2svcd_logmatrix.txt...
than copy to a reference folder.
it help a lot!

sorry guys only way i could paste this on, so i just did a 90 min movie, and it stop about 60 min into the movie hope this help and you can tell me what happened every time i try to do a 90 min to 100 on one cd

Now I see. If you did a search on TMPG CQ you would see that this method is very unreliable. Change to either VBR or CBR or CCE for a consistent file size.

Why did you need to post the logfile this way?
Just highlight the text in notepad then bring your mouse down this will continue to highlight the text as notepad scrolls. Then using the keyboard press the control key along with the letter C then start a post and press the control key and the letter V.

thanks mark i will give it a try to see what happens. from some reason when i copied the whole file and paste when i tried to submit internet exp. would give me error message, such a pain in the ass sometimes, so sorry about the other thread, but i will let you know how i make out on the vbr setting, this whole time i was doing constent cq i was told this is a good method, guess not

Mark, would i have to re-rip the dvd or can i use the ifo file in my current movie folder? then just convert.

Misc tab.
Recover
Load d2s file
Drop down to video encoding. It will show finalize after you load the d2s file.
Goto Encoder tab
Change to CBR or Multi-pass VBR
Back to Misc tab
Hit Continue
