Must have spent 16 hours searching the forum and the wider internet and still cant find out how to convert from aac to Mp3. Why would I want to do this I here you ask as I will undoubtedly lose quality. Because sports fans I would like to put all my files, that I have inherited off a long lost cousin who has recently died, in MP3 format on the same DVD as an MP3 disk in order that I can listen to 27 albums by a particular artist in sequential order even though that said artist tends to repeat themselves with countless compilation albums et.c etc. blah, blah, blah......... pauses for breath.

So is it blatantly simple to perform this operation or have I missed some important nugget of information tucked away in the F.A.Q. so far investigated ACC Machine, AC3 Machine, HeadAche (now I have one), cool edit pro, Besweet, etc. which one of them is it or is it none of them could it be winAmp and the Nullsoft writer.

Help please I have only had one hours sleep so I am going a bit round the bend, one not unremarkably like a hair pin one with a gigantic cliff at the edge.:D

Hi me again

just wondered have you got a link for a working FAAD winAMP 2.8 plug-in tried the link in the Audio F.A.Q. just got a "in_mp4_09082002.exe" which doesn't seem to play aac files, the only other stuff I can see on the page is source code.

Tried the rest of the WWW a few sites linking to pages with no download. or plug-in only suitable for winamp 3.0.

You don't have a plug-in laying around on your hard drive somewhere.

:D

not sure how to confiure lame but I found an MP3 output plugin so I guess that will work ok.

Super duper thanks with cream and suger on top in advance;)

edit soz think I found it now cheers for the help
