hmmm...why is bottom of video chopped off?

I'm very new to this...I haven't captured anything as yet but when I play any of the VHS tapes I will soon capture through my capture card, a bit of the bottom is chopped off. Reason I know is because the words on the bottom are only barely showing the top half of the words. I tried different res. but still the same result.

Any ideas people?

Typical VHS garbage.
You can reduce it through you VHS recorder if it has picture adjustment.
Generally, there is nothing you can do about it.
