I know, read the FAQs...I must be dumb. I can't find what I'm looking for and my question is simple. I want to copy a DVD-9 movie onto 2 DVD-Rs(1 containing the movie, the other containing the extras), but want to maintain original quality (no re-encoding). The movie is under 2 hrs, so it will fit on 1 DVD-R, as will the menus. All I want to know is, since I know what VOBs are the DVD extras, and I can remove them leaving just the menu files, and the main movie(all still under 4.3 gigs), what exactly is the next procedure before burning it? I only have DVD decrypter and Ifoedit. What do I do after I copy all the files with DVD decrypter and remove the DVD extras VOB files? What is the next procedure with Ifoedit? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi-

The movie is under 2 hrs, so it will fit on 1 DVD-R, as will the menus.

The length of the movie has nothing to do with it. It's the file size of what you're hoping to fit on 1 DVD-R (which will hold 4.37GB) that's important. But it seems your movie is less than that.

Have you seen the DVD backup Guides (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvdbackup-guides.htm)?

And more specifically, have you seen the DVD-9 -> 2 DVD±R Guide (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ifoedit-2dvdrs.htm)?
