Cropping Rules?

For output resolution its a well accepted fact that mod16 resolutions are better used. But what is the case with cropping?

DVX brought this to my attention, saying that he is not happy when cropped res (before resize) is less than mod4.

Anyone know this?

If you're using Avisynth 2.07 to frameserve, then horizontal mod 2 and vertical mod 2.
For Avisynth 2.5 it's horizontal mod 2 and vertical mod 4.

Individual filters may have extra requirements though.

mod 4 should be fine but I was told some filter work better with a mod value higher than 4, I would never go below 4, could cause problems
