I used DVD Decrypter to rip the files from a DVD and then ran InfoEdit and now have on my hard drive 7 files of 1GB each and one file of 184kb. When I tried using Nero to burn them to a DVD-R it said that it couldn't burn them to a blank DVD.

I printed out and followed the guide "How to keep only the main movie of a DVD". On the separate page which is titled Final Adjustments for DVD ->DVD-R/W rips step #4. Burning the Disc, it talks about burning the image using Nero or using DVD Decrypter to do it. It says in order to to create a DVD image start up ImagTools. There is no ImgTools in DVD Decrpyter. I am really confused.

Keep in mind that a blank dvdr only stores 4,700,000,000 bytes. So I am assuming you aren't planning on getting all 7+ gigs into one blank. Here's some info on imgtools from the doom9 news page:

ImgTools 1.00.2 uses NeroAPI 5.5.9.14 - thus requires at least Nero 5.5.9.14 - it has better handling for non empty media, there's a button which will actualize the write speed upon inserting a new media and more burning options have been added in the other settings dialog.
