Yesterday I downloaded one episode from Stargate that was Xvid.
I have had Xvid's before and there hasn't been a problem in win media player with the playback in win xp but in win 2000 i had.
In 2k I had perfect sound but the picture only became alot of stripes or something like that.
Well now i have Win XP and WMP refused to play it. The player just started and then nothing more happened.
So I installed Light alloy player and zoomplayer and they played the file but with a screwed up picture like in win 2000. Those mediaplayers couldn't play a single Xvid file without that problem but WMP could..
Anyone who knows this problem? The wierd thing is that it light alloy and zoomplayer works perfectly with xvid on my brothers comp and on my comp at work. But all computers have the same prob in WMP.
I have an AMD XP system with radeeon graphics and the other comps are Intel systems with geforce graphics...
