Subtitles In Bourne Identity?

I have recently tried to back up Bourne Identity but ran into some probs I hope you can help with?? 1. In the first 10 mins of the film there are english subtitles displayed as fisherman are french (I think) How do I rip the DVD so this is shown on my final SVCD. I enables english subtitles in DVD2SVCD and selected permanent but there are no subtitles showing on pc or standalone? 2. Theres is a whole 30 sync difference between the audio and video? how can this happen. 3. I have all th ripped vobs, subs stil on my hardive can I salvagethem or do I need to rip the DVD again?

I am using DVD2SVCD v1.1.0 build1 + CCE

read the rules for this forum.
you need to post your logfile.

if the subtitles occur naturally in the movie then you shouldn't need to add any extra subtitles, they should get included automatically.

I read the forum rules, Which bit did I get Wrong?

Log file? do you mean dvd2svcd text file?

I ripped the DVD as normal and the subtitle appear naturaly but not in the ripped vobs or the encoded mpeg (the same happened with Red Dawn?)

I have read other posts and done a search on the forum but not found anything that answers the question directly.
