Hi everyone.
I usually use xvid(last stable version)for all my codings.
Never had any problem with that.
I heard that development version may give you better quality/compression if used with appropriate options. I installed it, but all encodings are not playable!!! player(bsplay,mplayer2,wmp8) crashes while trying to play the files. I tried different codec settings.: first, enable b-frames (2/150/100) and notheing more, tried only gmc&lumi without qpel and without b-frames and some other combinations. Also tried previous unstable version(don't remember which one)- No matter what i try - the files are unplayable. Maybe anyone could know what the problem is.
P.s. i use ffdshow as decoder (don't know if it is related)
Thanks for any replies.
