View Full Version : Autoring VHS capture in IFOEdit

After capturing VHS to mpeg2 then demuxing I tried to insert chapter points in IFOEdit by creating a celltimes file setting a chapter every 10 minutes or so. I don't particularly want menus, just a facility to skip through the movie.

After pointing IFOEdit to the m2v and mpa files I get to the point of inserting the celltimes file and IFOEdit just gives an error and shuts down. I use IFOEdit a lot to author after CCE when backing up DVD9s to DVDR because it's dead easy when you don't want menus. In that case however the chapter points are at the same frame positions as they were in the original VOBs.

There's obviously a fundamental problem here - could someone advise a method of doing this. If I abandon the chapter points it re-muxes the m2v and mpa and creates the IFOs and VOBs no problem.

Is your .txt file named celltimes.txt? If it's not, that may be the problem.

For some reason, I tried a different name than the default name and it crashed with an error message.

I then renamed the file to celltimes.txt and it worked fine.

Good Luck!
