I haven't regulared these forums since Christmas (due to work), but in my first "real" visit back, I'm welcomed with this great forum organization. Excellent work guys, I know it's a lot of work behind the scenes to keep this forum working smoothly!

Well, I actually liked the old organization better but I am sure that I can get used to this one too. Unfortunately, I enjoy it when things always stay exactly the same way. Nonetheless, the organization of the forums is much better. I have one concern though, there seems to be a lot of different forums popping up lately. A HDTV forum, a avisynth development forum, a NLE forum, a dvd2one forum, and a doitfast4u forum. It seems like kind of a lot to me, but maybe there is really a lot of demand for this kind of thing. I think the HD forum is pretty cool and a seperate forum for avisynth developement was probably needed as well. But like I say, maybe there is a real demand for these other forums, I really don't know since I really don't use these kind of tools myself. But, just to echo cjv, good job. :)

@BoNz1: Rest assured that I myself am rather conservative when it comes to restructuring and adding new forums. New forums will only be added if there's sufficient demand and if they make sense and I have stats on each forum's activity to decide if a forum should be kept or merged with another one (or dropped altogether). There have been quite some changes but overall I feel they will make the forum a better place and I wouldn't have restructured if I didn't think in the end we're all going to benefit from those changes. I recently checked the stats and when looking at the number of posts during the last 30 days the dvd2one/ic forum already comes in 2nd and Avisynth is by far the largest forum overall. Plus, while the idea came from me, leading AviSynth developers on this board agreed to this split.

Thank you doom9 for the explanation, it seems that there is indeed great demand for these new forums. I am glad that you are conservative in adding new forums, since some sites seem to get cluttered however if the demand is there I am all for it. If people want these new forums then it should be less cluttered and better organized which is of course better for all of us. :) And once again, good job. :)
