I read somewhere that DVD2Avi won't change Dynamic Range in DRC setting. I have checked Dolby Digital - Demux, Dolby Sorround Downmix, and in Mpeg Audio I checked Demux. The sound is 5.1 DD. If I select Light in DRC will it make sound thruout the movie less dynamic? (I don't wanna keep on turning volume up when someone's talking and then turning it down when something blows up)
If the DRC won't work in DVD2AVI how can I change DRC somewhere else while usin gknot 27?

Are you transcoding the audio to MP3 or Vorbis? If so, use BeSweet to adjust the gain levels so the audio is at the maximum volume without clipping (basically, use the audio settings within GKnot or use a profile that comes with the BeSweet GUI). If you're keeping the AC3 track, you can modify the DRC during playback with a filter such as AC3Filter (in the downloads section). Or if you're outputting to an external decoder, the decoder should handle DRC just fine and you shouldn't need to worry about the volume level. Don't transcode the AC3 (or re-encode to AC3) because you think the volume is too low. That's why playback filters have adjustable gains and such.
