help please the ripping takes to long

i had to reinstall windows and now when i put in dvd it takes 1 hour for dvdsvcd to rip to my harddrive before it only took 5 minites why is it taken so long help please

Your DVD-ROM is in PIO mode. Set to DMA in IDE channels in Device Manager win2k/xp or on DVD-ROM for win98
