Hi Folks,

I'm trying to make a nice backup from my Armitage DVD, but
every time I encode it I get these anyoing rainbow colors
and some kind of "wave" effect.

I've been searching trough some other topics but I dont
understand them so well :( I was hoping someone could tell
me i a easy way how I could clear some of these effects.

I've tryed some filters but I can't seem to get them working
or how to use them.

Those rainbows are already on the DVD, it's not your fault ;)

So there is no way to blend them away a little ?

My recommended filter for YUY2:

An alternative (works for YV12, too):

I would consider those filters as 'discontinued', ie they lead to dead-ends, or the author(s) hasn't see a worthy update in a while.

One last point: you'll trade rainbows for ugly ghosting, in particular in parts with moving objects.

The Armitage DVD was really badly remastered. It's also affected by dot crawling, and Guavacomb was the best in my tests.

Thx for tip,i'll sure check them out.

I'm now encoding the anime using SSiQ and some other filters,
it sure is slow as hell, allready 10hours went by and still 30
to go and that on a 1,5Ghz ^^
