Hi there;

DVD2SVCD is a wonderful program but I think we need a skin/re-design & a new detailed manual (including the Canopus Procoder).

Yes, the functionality is a very important issue but this program has the ugliest skin/design in the free/shareware world.

I don't know how to do it but believe me if I knew, I would design it.

For example TMPGenc, VCDEasy, & even DVDx has better skins with options.

Please, a manual & a skin that looks chic(definitely not something fuzzy, a basic design will be enough. Check out the Procoders design, it's awesome.)

The FAQ needds to be updated too...

Anyway, thanx for creating such a wonderful program thats easy to use.

See ya.:)

Hi boorock!

I´m awaiting the attatchment of your new detailed manual (Including the new encoder). Hopefully there will be lots of nice pics and detailed descriptions.

Or did I get you wrong?

I really don't know how to tactfully respond to this so it may come off harsh, but it isn't meant as such.

If you want this stuff then you do it. Nobody gets paid here, not even DVD2SVCD.

You want a manual. Write it. There are already guides floating around on Doom9 and elsewhere. We don't have the time to keep up with the pace of development. I mean Procoder support was added like what, 1 week ago?

You want skins make them. This will be next to impossible with the way DVD2SVCD works. In every version some button is always different. So you will need to create version specific skins. It might be ugly, but at least it works. There are a ton of pretty programs out there that do squat.

You want the FAQ updated you do it and I will post it. This is really the only part of this whole thing I agree with you, but as we all have limited time we do what we can.

While you are at it please read this:

Don't take this the wrong way, but honestly try to be happy with what you have.

You do bring up a good point about the Q+A and FAQ needing updating. I will create a new post asking for suggestions for changes. If you think there is something that should be added specifically you post it in there.

Hi again,

I got the point & will try to edit the guide as soon as possible.

Unfortunately there's nothing about the skin that I can do.
But if someone do it I'll be glad indeed...

By the way I did not meant to hurt anyone, especially the creators & moderators. Like everyone I'm aware of the hard work & genius.
I just wanted to point the way to get this wonderfully written program to be perfect in every way.

No hard feelings...;)
